The art of tying knots, plaiting and weaving, called macrame, is done by Syrian refugee women in Istanbul. Muhra is a brand developed by the Syrian women in cooperation with local designers. The slogan for the new collection is "Together boundless", the products are a symbol of collective progress. About the Artisans
The earrings and macrame products are supplied by Small Project Istanbul, a centre which supports Syrian refugee women in Istanbul to learn new skills and earn money by producing crafts. More than 60 Syrian women have grown in self-confidence and ownership of the brands "Drop Earrings Not Bombs" and "Muhra" which share their message of experience and individuality.

Afghan women are real champions in embroidering! You can proudly wear this flower pattern purse made by women in rural Bamiyan District in Afghanistan. The from side of the bad has been embroidered on handmade woollen fabric, backside is same colour cotton fabric. The bag is with soft lining and fits easily a mini-Ipad or e-reader.
The strap can be adjusted and removed. Bag closes with a zipper.
